The occupational health and safety area at Minexcorp and its subsidiary Minera Pensilvania Gold & Mineral designed and defined an annual work plan which identifies the objectives, goals, responsibilities, resources and schedule of activities for compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OSHMS).
Let’s remember that OSHMS covers everything related to prevent injuries and diseases caused by working conditions, in general to preserve and ensure the integrity of workers.

What is the OSHMS?
The Ministry of Labor, committed to the policies of protection of Colombian workers and in development of international standards and conventions, established the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS), which must be implemented by all employers and consists of the development of a logical and staged process, based on continuous improvement, which includes policy, organization, planning, implementation, evaluation, audit and improvement actions with the aim of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating and controlling the risks that may affect safety and health in the workplace.
The management system applies to all public and private employers, dependent and independent workers, cooperative workers, workers on mission, contractors of personnel under civil, commercial or administrative contracts, organizations of solidarity economy and the cooperative sector, temporary service companies, associations that affiliate independent workers to the Integral Social Security System, labor risk administrators, the National Police in relation to its non-uniformed personnel and civilian personnel of the Military Forces.
What are its objectives?
To facilitate the process of implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System by employers and contractors, ensuring compliance with the minimum standards established by the General System of Labor Risks for the protection of the integrity of the personnel performing the work, labor or activity, with the identification of practices, processes, dangerous situations and actions for intervention in the risks inherent to the economic activity.
