The environmental authority of Caldas Department, Corpocaldas, assigned us the La Morena stream to obtain the necessary water for the Vereda Guayaquil Project.

During the environmental impact study, the relevant verifications were carried out to determine its flow rate. The results were an average of 115 litres per second.

Based on this study, Corpocaldas assigned us the possibility of capturing 5 litres per second for the operation of the processing plant.

This amount is well below the average in order to maintain at all times the ecological flow necessary to not affect the fauna and flora that coexist.

For the water catchment system it was necessary to build a structure called an intake which will be responsible for capturing the flow granted.

Initially the water is captured and sent to a storage tank and then taken to the sand trap which in turn will direct the required water to the processing plant.
