A visit was made to the property offered by a member of the Las Mercedes village, in which to carry out the construction of a hut that the entire community can enjoy, therefore being able to be used by all families in the influence area of the project, as well as serving as a center for the celebration of all kinds of recreational and social events.
The signature of the authorization for the intervention and plotting of the lot was requested. MinexCorp offered our backhoe and suitable personnel to carry out the adaptation of the land. Our civil engineering professionals and our electrical engineer accompanied the process and advised Mr. Nelson Quintana, president of the Community Action Board, regarding the hut’s infrastructure and electricity requirements, so that he could have the best solutions.
This action falls within the MinexCorp Corporate Social Responsibility program, so that, at no cost to the people of the community, our company provided its support with its own material resources (backhoe), as well as with some human resources of its staff. The cost of the materials (cements, blocks, etc.), on the one hand, was borne by the mayor’s office, and on the other hand, money was also raised through various social events (parties, rake, etc.), in which the entire community participated.
We are clear that our project grows with the strengthening of the communities it affects. Therefore, with the aim of being able to positively affect the social and economic development of the influence area of the project, we will continue to support in all the senses and areas in which it is possible for us to help.
We know that the present must be made solid to get a steady future for the company. We are an ongoing and well-oriented company… we are a company pointing to a better future.
