Our Vereda Guayaquil mining project is still in the final phase of fine-tuning. We would like to remind you that this industrial project was created from scratch in an area where the orographic characteristics have sometimes made some of the work difficult.
- We are suffering delays, various failures, a complete engineering has been done and in two months it will be fully operational.
- We are extracting some 40-50 tonnes, not all of it is ore, we are also extracting backing.
- Inside the mine, we are taking out mining material with a very high concentration.
- The loading ropeway is still giving problems, due to a design flaw in the loading. It has been decided that it will be forced to bring up all the ore.
- The WWTP is finished, but the hose connections are missing.
- The three-phase power continues to present problems due to the paperwork and permits with the supply company, but it seems that these will finally be solved.
- The heliport as reported is finished, only safety elements need to be added.
- In the laboratory we are taking 50-60 samples a day to get to know and study the mining material that is being extracted.
- In the mine we have different open fronts and we have already opened new work areas that have a high tenor and a very high polymetallic component.
As regards the loading ropeway, a stoppage of 6 to 8 weeks is required, so the decision we have taken is to force it now to its maximum capacity to lift as much material as possible from the mine to the plant and accumulate it to coincide the start of normal operation of the plant with the stoppage of the ropeway, in this way we will have accumulated material to not stop working while adjustments are made to the ropeway and thus be able to transport the material for which it has been designed.
