How are the mining projects going?

We have started the month of April with a lot of strength, the intense rains of the last few days have shown that the infrastructures are well designed and can withstand inclement weather without difficulty.

Vereda Guayaquil

In Guayaquil we are having problems with the electricity supply, so we are alternating between direct power and diesel generators so as not to stop the flow of work.

The plant is completing complete washing cycles but we continue to make adjustments to the gearing until we can achieve a continuous flow without stoppages from the arrival of coarse material to the tailings dam.

The extraction and raising of 40 tonnes of material per day have been maintained over time and continue to feed the warehouse that provides material to the plant.

La Maria

At La María, we have finished the first floor of the offices, where part of the team is already working. We continue to refurbish the second floor, which we expect to finish this month.

The restaurant is fully operational, as are the cabins, which now have complete services so that the person can spend full days at the project.

In the mine, we closed March with a continuous flow of 30 tonnes per day, which we expect to increase to 35/40 tonnes per day by April.

In the plant, all the elements are working in sync after some failures in the pumps that started to give problems when working continuously after having been stopped for more than a year. It does not impact excessively on the performance but it does affect the daily work.

We can say that we have now finished processing the material that was in the hoppers so we foresee an increase in the tenor of the final results.

Corrections have been made to the water flows to make use of the liquid that was thrown away after washing, which consolidates our commitment to nature and the resources that surround us.
