The mining projects currently underway in Colombia are helping to transform lives.
Laura Toro Salazar, Pensilvania Gold & Mineral‘s Social Worker, is responsible for carrying out all the necessary actions so that the communities in the area of influence are the main beneficiaries of the mining work being carried out.
Thanks to the presence of all the companies involved and thanks to all the partners who participate in it, important advances are being made in a society punished by violence and forgotten by the institutions.
Here is a list of the needs in the territory:
- Educational Institutions: there are infrastructure needs as a priority, in the laboratory material is required, economic benefits have been received from the mining company to try to solve these needs. On the other hand, the population is growing and it is necessary to adapt the spaces to this growth and also to provide the necessary technology for the development of the students.
- Cultural centres: many people have become involved in the project to promote culture, and their contributions have been fundamental in making this possible.
- Football schools: initiatives such as the football school in Pueblo Nuevo or the one in La Arboleda help all children to develop in the world of sport, learn values and exercise. The schools hope to continue to be able to count on our support.
It is very important for us to encourage and support all initiatives in the children’s area and we know that it is equally important for all of you.
