La María mining project is located between the municipalities of Vegachí and Remedios in the Department of Antioquia, Colombia.
The mining title area is located within the great Magdalena River basin.
It is one of the mining projects in which InnovaMinex collaborates as a technological partner and which is carried out, like Vereda Guayaquil, by MinexCorp.
Project status
- It started operating in October 2021.
- Monthly exploration is ongoing.
- Two potential veins have been found.
Investors
The project currently has more than 1,800 investors.
Many people have joined the project, at the last count 340,350 shares.
Since 16 October, the plant has been operating in a test phase, washing sterile material and testing rich material.
Process
The mining process carried out at La Maria by Minexcorp consists of:
- Finding the vein
- Opening a parallel tunnel
- Using explosives to break through
- Filling the wagons with the extracted material up to the mine pit
- Carrying the material by overhead cable to the beneficiation plant
- Crush and extract in a flotation tank
- Separate silver and gold from sand
- Operating Beneficiation Plant
