Here is a summary of the meeting with Fernando García Sanz on the progress and developments at the La María Mining Project.
Let’s remember that our La María Mining Project has been in operation for barely a year and we are already processing ore and with the civil works practically completed.
Summary of the meeting
- At La María the works continue to be completed, having already finished the lower floor of the offices and with only the windows remaining on the upper floor. With the exception of hydraulic works, we do not foresee starting any major works in the short term.
- Within the civil works section, the new security sentry box has been completed and moved to the front of the river as part of the new security and shielding scheme of the project.
- In the mine, we have opened a new mine mouth called “Choneto” with good values that we expect to contribute an extra 10 tonnes to the project.
- We are finishing the necessary drill holes to be able to continue, we continue to explore new mine mouths, as we have more than 40 in the whole project of which more than 5 can be used for extraction.
- The plant continues to operate with some problems in precipitation with the vacuum systems that had not been detected until now as it is the last part of the washing process.
- Once we finish the calibration and we are washing rich material continuously, we will be able to double its performance by introducing material from other mines.
We have been able to finish with the first washing cycle resulting in a molten doré ingot of about 996gr and a gold purity of 60% and 30% silver, approximately.
