The Occupational Health and Safety Department provided training on the mining atmosphere, explaining the gases found in underground workings.
In both metallic and non-metallic mines, various gases can be found that are normally present.
These gases are produced by the use of explosives, the decomposition of organic substances, spontaneous combustion, fires, chemical reactions of minerals and the use of mechanised combustion engine equipment, as a result of the lack of ventilation or insufficient ventilation in underground workings.
These gases can reach concentrations capable of affecting the health or life of the worker.
For this reason, this training explains the chemical risks and identifies preventive measures to minimise the risk of exposure.
In InnovaMinex together with Pensilvania Gold & Mineral and MinexCorp we are committed to the safety and health of our workers and with training for all mining personnel.
